Classes & Seminars

Many education classes and seminars are offered to JCAR members at reduced rates. We offer education specials while providing REALTORS the opportunity to achieve the GRI (Graduate, REALTOR Institute), CRB (Certified Residential Broker), and CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designations. As a member of JCAR, you will enjoy quality instructors and varied class selection. In addition, JCAR offers continuing education classes on the Internet.

Ethics and Professional Practices

As a member of JCAR, you agree to abide by a written Code of Ethics developed by the National Association of REALTORS. This Code of Ethics gives you the means to address ethical concerns and arbitration requests along with a yardstick for which to measure your own level of professionalism. Arbitration facilities are also available to REALTORS so that you may resolve any business disputes with other REALTORS outside the court system.

Dispute Resolution & Mediation

JCAR offers cost-effective mediation program for buyers and sellers. If a dispute arises out of a real estate transaction, JCAR's mediation program can save time and money. The use of an impartial, trained third party --the mediator--can help negotiate a mutually acceptable solution.

Metrolist, the metro Denver Multiple Listing Service (MLS), is a state-of-the-art technology information retrieval system which provides you and other MLS members exclusive access to complete and updated information on listings and sales throughout the region. Metrolist is a full-service MLS offering an on-line database, MLS books, brochures, and public records, as well as tech support and training. In addition, Recolorado.com is a consumer website designed to provide wider exposure of your listings.

REALTOR Store & Library

JCAR offers members easy access to products and services that are necessary to run a successful real estate business, e.g., contracts, brochure boxes, lockboxes, maps, closing folders, and signs. In addition, the library offers some audio and video tapes, as well as reference materials.

Involvement Creates a Positive Community Image

Public relations efforts of your association increase visibility for all Jefferson County REALTORS. Your involvement in the activities of the Colorado Association of REALTORS' Housing Opportunity Foundation (CARHOF) is an easy way to enhance your image in the community. CARHOF funds are used to promote affordable housing programs through contributions to nonprofit housing entities in Jefferson County and throughout Colorado.
